Mahama swears in new Bank of Ghana Governor and his First Deputy

At the swearing-in ceremony held at the Jubilee House on Tuesday, President Mahama underscored the significance of safeguarding the central bank's independence. He encouraged the new leadership to devise effective strategies to bolster the nation's economy, while adhering to the governing legal frameworks.
Dr. Asiama, in his response, pledged to work tirelessly towards achieving the "reset agenda." He outlined a six-point plan aimed at revitalizing the economy and announced intentions to introduce new legislation designed to transform Ghana's banking sector.
