Opoku-Agyemang Pledges Inclusive Growth for Ghana's Disadvantaged
Iowa, USA – October 22,2025 - Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has reaffirmed the Mahama administration's commitment to lifting the living standards of all Ghanaians, particularly the disadvantaged. Speaking at the Norman Borlaug International Dialogue, organized by the World Food Prize Foundation in Des Moines, Iowa, USA, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang emphasized the government's focus on inclusive development, job creation, and agribusiness growth.
The Vice President stressed the administration's dedication to bringing marginalized communities to the forefront, ensuring equal opportunities for all. "We will empower those who don’t have the power, through whatever means", she noted.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang highlighted the government's commitment to creating jobs that match the talents and innovation of Ghana's youth, develop the country's agribusiness potential, and sustainably support small and medium-scale businesses.
She also announced plans to launch the Women's Development Bank, providing crucial support to female entrepreneurs.
