Ghana - September 18, 2025 - National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has called on party members to rally behind President John Dramani Mahama, emphasizing the importance of unity in delivering on the party's promises to Ghanaians. Speaking on Thursday, September 18, 2025, during his thank-you tour at Abotakyi in the Akuapem North Constituency of the Eastern Region, Asiedu Nketiah urged members to put aside personal interests and internal disagreements for the greater good of the party and the country.

Asiedu Nketiah highlighted the progress made under President Mahama's leadership, noting that the president has already begun delivering on key promises. He stressed that achieving the party's full vision requires continued unity and collective effort, saying, "What remains is for us to be united as a party and throw our weight behind him so he can complete the task." The NDC Chairman warned that internal divisions and infighting could undermine the party's performance and damage its image.

Asiedu Nketiah emphasized that unity is crucial for the party's success, cautioning against internal divisions and infighting. He noted that if party members start fighting and creating divisions, it would negatively impact the party's performance and image. Asiedu Nketiah's tour aims to express gratitude to supporters while addressing grassroots concerns. He assured party members that their patience would soon be rewarded as government appointments are rolled out, encouraging them to remain calm and united.
