Special Voting Exercise kicks off in Ghana ahead of December 7 Polls
Special Voting is currently underway at designated polling stations across 14 regions of Ghana, excluding the Eastern and Western Regions.
The special voting exercise enables security personnel, media practitioners, and election officials who will be on duty during the December 7 polls to cast their votes ahead of time.
Approximately 131,478 voters, representing a small fraction of the total registered electorate, are expected to take part in this Special Voting exercise.
The EC has implemented stringent measures to ensure the credibility and transparency of the electoral process.
In the Eastern and Western Regions, special voting has been rescheduled to Thursday, December 5, following a reported breach of security seals.
Jean Mensa, the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, has assured the public of a smooth and credible voting process. The EC has urged all eligible voters participating in the Special Voting to adhere to guidelines, including presenting valid identification to polling officials.
