Mahama Swears in New Council of State Members

Jubilee House/Accra, Ghana - 19 Feb, 2025 - Ghana's President John Dramani Mahama has sworn in a 31-member Council of State, comprising distinguished individuals from various fields, to advise him on national issues.
The ceremony, held at the Jubilee House in Accra on Tuesday, marked a significant moment in Ghana's governance.
Former Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo and former Speaker of Parliament Edward Doe Adjaho, who will chair the council, were among those sworn in.
The new members bring a wealth of experience from law, academia, business, and civil society, ensuring the council provides informed advice to the President.
