I shall reveal my full cabinet in 14 days - President Mahama
Accra, Ghana - 10 Jan, 2025 - President John Dramani Mahama has revealed that his full cabinet will be unveiled within the next fortnight, addressing concerns over the delay in ministerial appointments.
The President's assurance comes amidst criticism from Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, who described the appointment process as "tot-tot".
Speaking at the National Mosque in Accra, President Mahama urged supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to exercise restraint and avoid actions that could implicate the government.
He emphasized the importance of forming a government that works for all Ghanaians, adding that ministers will be appointed to address pressing issues.
“Government is being formed, ministers will be put in place, other officials will be appointed. And as I said, we will have our full cabinet in 14 days.
“And so we will have ministers in charge if you have any issues you consult any of the ministers and have it resolved. So, exercise restraint. Many [people have said it is the same thing the NPP said when they came into 2017.”
“And that is why Ghanaians have voted them out. We must not copy the mistakes that they made. I plead with our supporters, let us do things in an orderly manner,'' he added.
