Mahama Swears in Ablakwa, Sam George, Kofi Adams, 14 Others as Ministers of State

Accra, Ghana - 08 Feb, 2025 - A new batch of 17 ministers has been sworn in by Ghana's President John Mahama, following their approval by Parliament.

The ministers, who underwent a rigorous vetting process, will take up key positions in the government, including labour, environment, communications, and sports.

President Mahama administered the oath of office to the ministers at a ceremony held at the Jubilee House in Accra.

The newly appointed ministers include Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo as Labour Minister, Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed as Environment Minister, and Samuel Nartey George as Communications Minister.

Others include Kofi Iddie Adams as Sports Minister, Joseph Bukari Nikpe as Transport Minister, and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa as Foreign Affairs Minister.
