I don't envy your job, Just Return Black Stars to Its Glory Days - Mahama tasks Kofi Adams

Accra, Ghana - 08 Feb, 2025 - Ghana's President John Dramani Mahama has challenged the country's new Sports Minister, Kofi Adams, to transform the nation's sports landscape and restore the Black Stars football team to its former glory.
At the swearing-in ceremony of 17 ministers, President Mahama emphasized the need for a radical overhaul of the sports sector, citing the importance of transparency, professionalism, and modern management practices.
Minister Adams has been tasked with strengthening all sports disciplines, with a particular focus on reforming the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
“Hon. Kofi Adams I don’t envy your job. You have the monumental task of restoring Ghana to its pride of place in Africa and World sports. The shambles that are Ghana’s sports today are completely unacceptable, for a country with our pedigree. And I expect that you inject transparency, professionalism, and modernity into the management of the sector.
“I expect that you concentrate on building up all the sports disciplines and I know the Ghana Football Association would be a good place to start to work to make sure that we return Black Stars to its glory days,'' he added.
