KNUST Community in Shock as Fourth-Year Student Joana Deladem Yabani is Found Dead

Kumasi, Ghana- 27 Feb, 2025 - Tragedy has struck the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) with the sudden and mysterious death of a fourth-year Biological Sciences student, Joana Deladem Yabani.
Her lifeless body was discovered near the university's Disability and Rehabilitation Centre on February 27, 2025, sparking widespread shock and grief across the campus.
According to a statement released by the university management, the institution's security services promptly transported the body to the University Health Services, where medical personnel confirmed her passing. The university has since informed Miss Yabani's family and extended its deepest condolences.
“The University has officially informed her family, and we extend our deepest condolences to them during this difficult time,” portions of the statement read.
