Ghana to Send Nurses, Teachers to Jamaica under Special Bilateral Partnership - Ablakwa

Accra, Ghana - 24 May, 2025 - Ghana and Jamaica are poised to strengthen their historical ties through a bilateral partnership that will facilitate the exchange of professionals, particularly nurses and teachers, between the two nations.
According to Ghana's Foreign Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Jamaica is ready to welcome Ghanaians in these fields under a special agreement.
The development is a result of a successful meeting between Minister Ablakwa and his Jamaican counterpart, Senator Kamina Johnson Smith, on the sidelines of the OACPS summit in Brussels.
The two ministers also agreed to hold high-level political consultations to deepen cooperation in various areas, including trade, education, agribusiness, tourism, cultural exchange, and sports.
This partnership aims to enhance the already strong historical relations between Ghana and Jamaica, leveraging their shared experiences and interests to foster mutual growth and development. By exchanging professionals and expertise, both countries can benefit from each other's strengths and expertise, ultimately promoting economic and social progress.
