Interior Ministry Imposes Curfew on Nkwanta Township Amid Rising Violence
Oti Region, Ghana - 29 Jan, 2025 - A curfew has been imposed on Nkwanta Township in the Oti Region of Ghana, effective Tuesday, January 28, 2025 by the Ministry of Interior.
The curfew, which runs from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM daily, aims to address emerging security concerns in the area.
The decision to impose the curfew was made by the Oti Regional Security Council, which cited the need to address emerging security concerns in the area. following a renewed conflict that erupted in Nkwanta on January 16, resulting in three fatalities and several injuries.
