I am with you - Sam George Throws Weight Behind Suspended Dafeamekpor

Accra, Ghana - 02 Feb, 2025 - A public show of support has emerged from Samuel Nartey George, Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, for his colleague Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, who was recently suspended from parliamentary duties.

In a heartfelt message posted on social media, George praised Dafeamekpor's character, highlighting his kind heart and humanity. He also acknowledged Dafeamekpor's contributions to the people of South Dayi, describing him as a "warrior, leader, and advocate."

Dafeamekpor, the Majority Chief Whip, was suspended along with three other MPs for two weeks by the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin, following a chaotic incident in Parliament

George's message of solidarity comes amid a period of controversy in Ghana's parliament, which has seen several lawmakers suspended for misconduct. 

“I am with you, @etsedafeamekpor,” George wrote on social media.
