Gov't to inaugurate over 80 educational projects today

Accra, Ghana - Nov 21, 2024 - The government will today, November 21, inaugurate over 80 educational projects across all 16 regions of the country. 

According to a statment from the Ministry of Education, President Akufo-Addo will lead the nationwide commissioning ceremony, joined by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum. 

Key Highlights of the Initiative:

- STEM-focused Schools: Institutions like Kpasenkpe Model STEM SHS and Accra STEM Academy will receive modern facilities to foster innovation and critical thinking 
- Early Childhood Education: Kindergarten facilities and basic education infrastructure, such as classroom blocks and sanitation facilities, will be upgraded to support young learners
- Technical and Vocational Education (TVET): Schools like Anyinam TVET-Applied Technical and Fashion School will equip students with practical skills to thrive in the job market
- Regional Development: The Ashanti Region, Northern Region, and Volta Region will benefit from upgraded facilities, including classroom blocks and business schools

The event will be broadcast live on major television networks and social media platforms, ensuring nationwide participation.

The Ministry of Education invites all Ghanaians to witness this milestone event, celebrating progress in education.

“These projects reflect the government’s commitment to improving the quality of education and ensuring that every Ghanaian child has access to a conducive learning environment.''
