GES Warns Against Fake Job Advertisements and Appointment Letters
Accra, Ghana - 30 June, 2025 - The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a warning to the public about fake job advertisements and appointment letters circulating on social media, claiming to offer employment opportunities within the service.
According to Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations at the GES, these advertisements and letters are entirely fraudulent and the public should be cautious.
The GES had previously announced plans to recruit approximately 50,000 teachers and 10,000 non-teaching staff, but the recruitment process has not yet commenced. The service has assured the public that when the recruitment process begins, it will be communicated through official channels, including the GES website and national newspapers.
The GES has emphasized that all recruitment processes are free, and individuals or groups should not charge applicants any fees for recruitment services.
Prospective applicants are urged to be wary of such scams and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
The public is advised to exercise caution when applying for jobs and to verify any job opportunities through official GES channels to avoid falling victim to these scams.
