Algerian Ambassador Applauds Ghana's Commitment to Democracy

Accra, Ghana - 15 Jan, 2025 - Ghana's Vice President, Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has met with Algeria's Ambassador, Mourad Louhaidia, in a courtesy call that highlights the strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.

The Ambassador congratulated Ghana on its successful and peaceful elections, praising the country's high democratic standards.

Ambassador Louhaidia reiterated Algeria's commitment to maintaining excellent bilateral relations with Ghana, built on shared values of democracy and pan-Africanism.

He also expressed Algeria's great respect for Ghana's first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, and his pan-Africanist ideals.

This diplomatic engagement is expected to further boost cooperation between the two nations, with potential collaborations in areas such as trade, security, and regional development.

Ghana and Algeria have a long history of diplomatic relations, with the Algerian Embassy in Accra playing a key role in promoting bilateral ties.
