Mali's Prime Minister Arrives in Ghana for Bilateral Talks

Accra, Ghana - 15 Jan, 2025 - Mali's Prime Minister, General Abdoulaye Maïga, has touched down in Ghana for an official visit, aimed at bolstering bilateral ties between the two nations.

Upon arrival, he was warmly received by a high-powered government delegation, led by Marietta Brew, the Legal Advisor to President John Dramani Mahama.

The two leaders are set to engage in talks focused on strengthening bilateral agreements, with discussions expected to revolve around key areas of mutual interest, including trade, security, and regional cooperation.

As the head of Mali's government, General Maïga's visit underscores the importance of cooperation between Ghana and Mali. This visit also highlights Ghana's strategic position in regional and international affairs, having recently hosted over 19 heads of state and prime ministers at President Mahama's inauguration.
