No corrupt official will go unpunished- Asiedu Nketiah
Johnson Asiedu Nketiah is the chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC)

Somanya, Ghana - In a scathing attack on the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has reaffirmed the party's commitment to holding NPP officials accountable for corruption.

Echoing flagbearer John Dramani Mahama's manifesto launch pledge, Asiedu Nketiah confirmed that the next NDC government will investigate and prosecute corrupt officials from the current administration, leaving no stone unturned.

Addressing a crowd of NDC supporters in Somanya, in the Eastern region,  Asiedu Nketiah dismissed NPP claims that the NDC represents a "scary alternative", suggesting that such warnings aim to deter voters from choosing Mahama.

He argued that those labeling the NDC as a frightening option fear being held accountable for their actions, and vowed that the NDC will not be swayed by such tactics.

“That is why President Mahama said in Winneba that the next NDC government will not act out of greed or mistreat Ghanaians for selfish interests.

“For those claiming that the alternative is scary, tell them that it is only scary for wrongdoers. If you are a thief or a criminal, the alternative should indeed be scary. Under our government, no corrupt individual will go unpunished," he added.

The NPP has yet to respond to Asiedu Nketiah's latest salvo, but the party has consistently denied allegations of corruption and mismanagement.
