NDC warns Ghanaians against NPP’s rehashed promises
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has warned Ghanaians not to be fooled by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) manifesto, encouraging them to critically examine its claims.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP's flagbearer, assured Ghanaians on Sunday that the party's policy manifesto would provide bold and innovative solutions to the nation's pressing concerns.
However, the deputy National Organiser of the NDC, Elikem Kotoko has described the proposals as “bold confusion,” arguing that the NPP’s promises are merely rehashed ideas without concrete analysis.
“There’s nothing new from what they did if you listened to them carefully. They just revisited a few of the promises they made to Ghanaians, they have built an Airport for you in Cape Coast, and we are doing this and that.
“Duties in Ghana should be cheaper than in Togo, you’ve not told us the analysis you’ve done to say so, Togo has a free port and you’re not the same as them.”
“There’s no proper cogent thing said. You can’t say you’ll make duty cheaper in Ghana compared to Togo and that’s it, what exactly, we need to know what cogent solutions they really have. Instead of bold solutions, it turned out to be bold confusion," he stated.
