Accra, Ghana - October 15, 2024 - The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has confirmed that the certified voter register for the 2024 general elections will be available in the first week of November.

This announcement was made by EC Chairperson Jean Mensa during the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting on October 15, 2024.

Mensa assured stakeholders of the Commission's commitment to ensuring the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the voters' register, which will include eligible voters from the 2020, 2023, and 2024 registration exercises.

“Over the last two weeks we have spent our energies to clean the PVR to ensure the information presented on the register is accurate. Simply put, we have worked to ensure that every applicant who registered in 2020, 2023, and 2024 are in the voters register,'' she stated.

“We are confident that the revised PVR that we present starting today is a marked departure from the register we presented during the exhibition exercise as largely all the discrepancies presented to date have been fixed,'' she added.

The EC has been working diligently to resolve discrepancies and ensure the final register's reliability for the upcoming elections.
