Duncan-Williams reveals why he quit National Cathedral board
Accra, Ghana - Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, Founder of Action Chapel International, has spoken publicly for the first time about his decision to step down from the board of trustees of the National Cathedral Project.
Addressing a gathering of prophets in Accra, Archbishop Duncan-Williams revealed that he resigned due to his inability to make a positive impact on the project, citing a lack of transparency. His departure, along with three other clergymen, was announced in October 2023.
The Archbishop's comments shed light on the circumstances surrounding his exit, which had been shrouded in mystery. His statement suggests that internal concerns and a lack of clarity drove his decision to leave the project.
“Let the good of Ghana be above any loyalty to any political party. People have always asked me which political party I belong to because sometimes they say I am NDC and sometimes they say I am say"he stated.
“They say I was NPP because I was on the National Cathedral Board, it was one of the reasons I delayed stepping down after a while when I had some concerns. One of the reasons I left is I believe if I am in a place and I can’t make a difference, then it is better I leave quietly. I don’t want to become an enemy. I don’t like fighting people,” he added.
