Young rastafarian, Marhguy wins full scholarship to University of Pennsylvania

Accra, Ghana  - Tyrone Marhguy, the Ghanaian student who made headlines for his fight against Achimota School's refusal to admit him due to his dreadlocks, has announced that he has been awarded a full scholarship to study Computer Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania.

In a Facebook post, Marhguy expressed his excitement and gratitude, stating that he will be joining the Class of 2028 as a proud Quaker. He revealed that he had carefully considered offers totaling $1.4 million over four years before making his decision.

Marhguy reflected on his journey, describing the past three years as "The Tales from Achimota School." He highlighted the challenges and triumphs he faced in his battle against the school's discrimination, ultimately emerging victorious.
