2025 SHS Placement Results Out Now: Check Your School
Accra, Ghana - September 18, 2025 - The Ghana Education Service has officially announced the release of the 2025 senior high school placement results, allowing students who sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examination to check their placement status online. To access their placement details, students can visit the Computerized School Selection and Placement System portal.
All placed students are expected to report to their assigned schools on October 18, 2025. Schools are required to strictly follow the placement list generated by the CSSPS Secretariat, and no student can be admitted outside the official placement without prior written approval from the GES.
To check their placement status, students can follow these steps:

- Step 1: Visit the official CSSPS portal at (link unavailable)
- Step 2: Enter their 10-digit BECE index number followed by the exam year.
- Step 3: Input their date of birth.
- Step 4: Click "Sign In" to view their placement details.
- Step 5: Print or save their placement slip for school admission.
Schools are required to strictly follow the placement list generated by the CSSPS Secretariat, and no student can be admitted outside the official placement without prior written approval from the GES.
The GES has also announced support channels for students who were not placed in any school. Dedicated WhatsApp lines, 0201045066 and 0201045157, have been set up to assist these students. Additionally, the GES has urged students and parents to take immediate steps to confirm result status, complete self-placement if necessary, and resolve outstanding issues before the deadline.
According to the GES, 451,797 candidates have been successfully placed out of the 603,328 results received from the West African Examinations Council (WAEC). The service has also withheld or cancelled 19,898 results due to examination malpractice.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) wishes to officially inform all Regional Directors of Education that the 2025 Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results have been released
You are hereby directed to communicate this information promptly to all District Directors of Education and Heads of schools within your jurisdiction.
1. Admission Process
Admission of students should strictly follow the placement list generated by the CSSPS Secretariat.
No school is permitted to admit students outside the official placement without prior written approval from GES.
2. Reporting and Registration
Placed students are to report to their schools from 18th October, 2025.
Heads of Schools are to ensure that registration is conducted smoothly and in accordance with the guidelines provided.
3. Compliance
Any infraction, including unauthorized admissions, will attract the necessary administrative sanctions.
Regional and District Directors are to monitor and provide the necessary supervisory support during the admission period.
The GES counts on your cooperation to ensure a transparent and successful admission process for the 2025 academic year.
