Accra, Ghana - 18 Feb, 2025 - Ghana's Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has announced a major boost to its job creation efforts, securing nearly 3,200 job vacancies from private companies.

The agency's Chief Executive Officer, Malik Basintale, in a social media post has reassured job seekers that all opportunities posted on the YEA Job Centre are completely free, with no recruitment fees or charges.

As part of its efforts to tackle unemployment, the YEA is urging private businesses to partner with the agency to create even more job opportunities for Ghanaian youth. The agency's Job Centre initiative has already posted thousands of vacancies, and officials are hopeful that further collaborations will help drive down unemployment rates.

The YEA has also warned job seekers to be vigilant and report any suspicious recruitment activities, following reports of fraudulent schemes that demand payment from applicants.

''Job vacancies we have posted so far are vacancies we have secured from private companies and as such recruitments are to be done by those private companies. Nearly, 3,200 jobs so far. No amount of money is to be charged before job is given out.
