We have not met with A-Plus to join NPP Caucus in Parliament - Justin Koduah
Accra, Ghana - 06 Jan, 2025 - The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has flatly denied allegations of attempting to form an alliance with newly elected Member of Parliament, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus.
A Plus, who secured the Gomoa Central seat as an independent candidate in the 2024 parliamentary elections, had claimed in a Facebook post that the NPP, led by Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, approached him with a proposal to join forces in Parliament.
The alleged offer included a commitment from the NPP not to contest the Gomoa Central parliamentary seat in the 2028 election.
However, Justin Kodua Frimpong, the General Secretary of the NPP, has issued a statement categorically denying these claims. The party emphasizes that it has not met with A Plus nor authorized anyone to convey messages on its behalf.
This development has sparked interest, given A Plus's significant victory in the Gomoa Central constituency, where he defeated both the NDC and NPP candidates.
