WAPCo Completes Pipeline Maintenance Ahead of Schedule, Restores Gas Supply

Accra, Ghana - 28 Feb, 2025 - The West African Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCo) has successfully completed a comprehensive pipeline maintenance project, restoring gas transportation to Ghana, Togo, and Benin.
WAPCO has announced in a statement that the four-week project, which finished ahead of schedule, involved a range of critical activities, including offshore pipeline cleaning and inspection, subsea valve replacements, and other essential works.
According to WAPCo, the maintenance project required a temporary shutdown of pipeline laterals supplying gas to Cotonou, Lomé, and Tema. Despite the challenges posed by the shutdown, the company's teams worked diligently to ensure that maintenance was carried out efficiently and safely.
Following the successful completion of its maintenance project, WAPCo has reiterated its dedication to delivering secure and dependable gas transportation solutions across West Africa.
