WAEC Opens Registration for 2025 WASSCE Private Candidates

Accra, Ghana - 2 Jan 2025 - The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the commencement of registration for the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates. This first series of exams offers an opportunity for students to resit papers and improve their grades without waiting a full year.

According to WAEC, the registration period is currently underway and will close on January 8, 2025. Prospective candidates are advised to visit the official WAEC website for detailed instructions and to complete their registration at accredited internet cafés approved by the council.

In a Notice, WAEC stated that the exams, scheduled to take place from January 24 to February 15, 2025, will be conducted under secure and standardized conditions, maintaining WAEC's high standards of credibility and integrity.
