VP Opoku-Agyemang Reaffirms Ghana's Commitment to Sustainable Development Goals
Accra, Ghana - 15 Jan, 2025 - Ghana's Vice President, Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has reiterated the government's commitment to improving the lives of Ghanaians, in line with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Speaking at the 76th Annual New Year School and Conference at the University of Ghana, Prof Opoku-Agyemang declared the school open on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama.
The conference, themed "Attaining the 5 Ps of Sustainable Development for a Resilient Ghana: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership," brought together stakeholders to discuss Ghana's development agenda.
Prof Opoku-Agyemang emphasized the importance of cultivating a culture of resilience and peaceful cohabitation, while tapping into local initiatives and opportunities.
She also expressed her delight at sharing the stage with an all-female cast, including the Vice Chancellor, Prof Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, and the Chancellor, Mary Chinery-Hesse.
