Accra,Ghana ,August 21,2025 - Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has been granted bail to the tune of GH¢10 million with two sureties by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO). The bail was granted after Shatta Wale voluntarily reported to EOCO on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, for interrogation over his recent acquisition of a yellow Lamborghini Urus.

According to his manager and publicist, Sammy Flex, the investigation is linked to tax obligations on the luxury vehicle and broader concerns about Shatta Wale's business operations. Sammy Flex in a Facebook post assured fans that Shatta Wale's management and legal team are working to meet the bail requirements.

The investigation into Shatta Wale's activities began after EOCO seized his Lamborghini Urus in June 2025. The agency alleged that the vehicle was linked to the proceeds of a serious international fraud scheme involving Nana Kwabena Amuah, a Ghanaian national currently serving an 86-month prison sentence in the United States for financial crimes.

Shatta Wale's management team has denied allegations of money laundering, stating that the musician had already shown documents to prove he legally acquired the luxury car. Sammy Flex emphasized that the matter is strictly about tax obligations related to the Lamborghini.

EOCO's has been working with international partners, including the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), to identify and seize assets linked to cross-border financial crimes.

Shatta Wale's legal team is expected to work with EOCO to resolve the matter. His management team has assured fans that the musician is cooperating fully with investigators and that they have confidence in the judicial process.
