Accra,Ghana – September 24,2025 - A recent survey conducted by Global InfoAnalytics has revealed that President John Dramani Mahama's approval ratings have dipped by 6 percentage points, from 73% in July to 67% in September. Despite this decline, the president's administration continues to command strong support nationwide, with every region registering majority approval of his performance for the first time in the polling firm's data.
The survey, which sampled 9,509 registered voters across all 16 regions, indicates that 22% of respondents disapprove of the president's performance, while 11% expressed no opinion, resulting in a net approval rating of +45%. When asked about the government's overall performance, 18% rated it as excellent, 54% as very good or good, 12% as average, and 16% as poor or very poor — a five-point increase in negative ratings compared to July.
Regional Support Remains Strong
The poll highlights that every region in Ghana has registered majority approval for President Mahama's performance, underscoring his broad national support base. Despite the dip in approval ratings, the president's administration remains in strong standing nationwide.
National Outlook
The survey also measured public sentiment on the country's direction. While a majority of voters still believe Ghana is headed in the right direction, confidence levels have slipped from 71% in July to 66% in September — a five-point decline. Nevertheless, most regions continue to express optimism about the nation's trajectory.
