Police Arrest One Suspect in UEW Lecturer's Murder Case
One suspect, Joshua Karry Arthur (pictured), has been arrested in connection with the murder and is currently assisting the police with their investigations.

Winneba, Central Region - 23 May, 2025 - Tragedy has struck the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), as the body of missing lecturer Professor Amedeke was discovered under mysterious circumstances.

According to the police, the professor's family had reported him missing, triggering an investigation that led to the shocking discovery of his secret burial at his residence in Gyahadze, a suburb of Winneba.

The police have since exhumed the body and transferred it to a medical facility for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

One suspect, Joshua Karry Arthur, has been arrested in connection with the murder and is currently assisting the police with their investigations.

The Central Regional Police Command confirmed the arrest, and further updates will be provided as the investigation unfolds.

The circumstances surrounding Professor Amedeke's death remain unclear, and the police are working to piece together the events leading up to his demise.
