Police Arrest 'Nsafufoo' Over Unauthorized Uniform Use After Viral Video
Manso Nkwanta, Ashanti Region - 3 July, 2025 - The Ghana Police Service has taken swift action against an individual who was impersonating a police officer, highlighting the authorities' commitment to maintaining the integrity of the uniform.
Osei Kwame, popularly known as "Nsafufoo," was arrested at Antoakrom in the Manso Nkwanta District of the Ashanti Region for unlawfully possessing and wearing a police uniform without authorisation.
The suspect's arrest was triggered by a video that went viral on social media, showing him visibly intoxicated while wearing a police uniform. Osei Kwame is currently being held by the police and is assisting with investigations.
The Ghana Police Service has reiterated its warning against impersonation and the unauthorised use of police regalia.
