Mahama Reassigns COP Tiwaa Addo-Danquah to Interior Ministry as Technical Advisor

Accra, Ghana - 19 March, 2025 - Ghana's President has reassigned one of the country's top police officers, COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, to a new role at the Ministry of the Interior.

COP Addo-Danquah, who was recently appointed Director-General of Research & Planning at the Ghana Police Service, will now serve as Technical Advisor to Interior Minister Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak.

The President's directive, which takes immediate effect, is seen as a strategic move to leverage COP Addo-Danquah's expertise in a new capacity. The President expressed his gratitude for her dedication and contributions to the nation, and conveyed his confidence in her ability to excel in her new role.

COP Addo-Danquah is expected to ensure a smooth transition by liaising with relevant authorities.
