Owusu Bempah in Trouble as NPP Refers Him to Disciplinary Committee for Breaching Party Directives

Accra, Ghana - 22 April, 2025 - The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has referred Ernest Owusu Bempah to the National Disciplinary Committee for allegedly breaching party directives.

Bempah is suspected of making comments on social media that create disaffection within the party, despite being instructed to cease discussing sensitive matters in the media.

According to a statement signed by NPP General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party's leadership has taken umbrage with Bempah's actions, which are seen as a contravention of the party's directives.

''Following the directives issued to all members of the party to cease discussions on matters that create disaffection within the party in the media, Mr. Owusu Bempah has made several comments in the social media which are suspected to be in contravention of the directives issued to all NPP members (refers: NPP/HQ/PR/2025/03/DAM),'' portions of the statement read.
