NPP's Post-Election Report is not Meant for the Public - Ahiagbah
Richard Ahiagbah is the Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Accra, Ghana - 17 April, 2025 - The New Patriotic Party has received a comprehensive report from a 12-member committee, led by Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye, analyzing the party's defeat in the 2024 general elections.

According to Richard Ahiagbah, the party's Director of Communications, the report will remain confidential and is intended solely for internal use to inform reforms and strategy ahead of the 2028 elections.

“I don’t think so. It is an internal document that will be used to aid the party’s reform process and help position us for victory in 2028,” he said in an interview after the party’s meeting in Accra on Wednesday, April 16,.

“So I can guarantee you, even though it is not expressly stated, it is clearly implied that the document is not meant for public consumption,” Ahiagbah added.

The report's contents are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the party's future direction. Ahiagbah assured supporters that key insights would be shared without compromising confidentiality.

“There’s a way, our supporters will go about it that will not complicate it. So it’s just a working document. It’s a document that the party is going to work to. Most of the recommendations are key in what we do now,” he stated.

This development comes after the party's national leadership received the report on April 16 at Alisa Hotel in Accra, with notable attendees including former President Nana Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Bawumia.
