Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra Gets First Ghanaian General Manager in Over a Decade

Accra, Ghana - 17 April, 2025 - Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra has named Isaac Okpoti Adjei as its new General Manager, marking a milestone as the first Ghanaian to hold the position since the hotel's reopening in 2011.

The appointment comes as a testament to Adjei's extensive experience within the Accor network, where he has spent over 20 years. Having started his career at Novotel Accra, Adjei has held various roles across operations, commercial, and learning and development, working on key projects across Africa and the Caribbean for Accor's luxury, premium, and economy brands.

As a certified Accor trainer, Adjei has played a pivotal role in mentoring talent and strengthening service standards. Notably, he was part of Mövenpick Accra's pre-opening team, instrumental in shaping the hotel's identity. His return to the hotel after a series of international assignments reaffirms his strong connection to the property.

Adjei's academic credentials are impressive, holding a first-class degree in social sciences from KNUST, a master's degree in French from the University of Ghana, a bachelor's degree in law from GIMPA, and a qualifying certificate of law from the Ghana School of Law.

The Accor leadership has praised the appointment, with Paul Stevens, COO for Middle East, Africa & Turkey at Accor, stating, "We are delighted to see Isaac take on this important leadership role. His deep understanding of the brand and passion for service make him the ideal leader to guide Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra into its next chapter."
