MTN Ghana Inks $2 Million Deal to Sponsor Four National Teams
Accra, Ghana – 14 August, 2025 – MTN Ghana, a leading telecommunications company, has partnered with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in a $2 million sponsorship deal to back four national teams: the Black Stars, Black Queens, Black Satellites, and Black Starlets.
This two-year collaboration, set to run until August 2027, will offer crucial financial and logistical backing to enhance the teams' growth, training, and competition readiness.
It's worth noting that MTN Ghana has a history of supporting Ghanaian football, having previously sponsored the Black Stars and extended their FA Cup sponsorship deal with the GFA for three years.
The partnership is expected to play a pivotal role in supporting the four teams as they prepare for upcoming international competitions.
MTN Ghana's Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Blewett, emphasized the unifying power of football in Ghana, stating, "Football is a passion that connects the whole country, and MTN is proud to be part of the journey to take our teams to greater heights."
