Mahama Vows to Right Akufo-Addo's Wrongs in New Year's Message
Accra, Ghana - January 01, 2025 - President-elect John Dramani Mahama has vowed to transform Ghana's economy and governance, marking a significant departure from the outgoing Akufo-Addo administration.
In his New Year's address for 2025, Mahama emphasized his commitment too tackle corruption, promote transparency, and restore integrity in governance.
Mahama, who won the 2024 presidential election with 56.55% of the vote, pledged to implement a 24-hour economy policy, expand job opportunities, and transform Ghana into an export-driven economy. He also vowed to create an environment that fosters innovation, sustainable development, and entrepreneurship, ensuring that Ghana's youth can achieve their dreams at home.
The President-Elect reiterated his commitment to good governance, promising to correct the outgoing administration's wrongs, tackle corruption, and reduce excessive government expenditures. He assured citizens that their voices will be heard and that together, they will build a Ghana that reflects their collective hopes and dreams.
Mahama also addressed the youth, urging them to believe in themselves and their potential, and assuring business owners and entrepreneurs that his administration will support their efforts to create jobs and wealth.

''Fellow citizens, my brothers and sisters.
As we begin the new year 2025, Lordina and I wish each of you a year filled with the promise
