NPP Launches "Rebuilding Our Base" Tour to Revitalize Grassroots Support

Accra, Ghana - 28 Jan, 2025 - The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has launched an initiative aimed at revitalizing its grassroots support and reconnecting with its ideological foundation.

Dubbed the "Rebuilding Our Base" tour, the effort is spearheaded by General Secretary Justin Kodua, who kicked off the campaign at the University of Ghana.

Accompanied by key party officials, including Director of Finance and Administration William Yamoah and National Youth Organizer Salam Mustapha, Kodua emphasized the party's commitment to inclusivity and grassroots action. The tour marks a strategic shift towards reinvigorating the party's connection with its core supporters and historical roots.

Other Officials present included; Haruna Mohammad, Deputy General Secretary; Jay Hyde, Deputy National Youth Organizer; Alhaji Osman, Ayawaso West Wuogon Chairman; Dr. Agyanim Boateng, TESCON Patron; Stephen Forson, Deputy Director of IT; and George Krobea Asante, Deputy Communications Director.

Kodua highlighted the party's rich heritage, tracing its origins to groups such as the UGCC, NLM, UP, PP, and PFP. He stressed that these ideologically aligned groups played a crucial role in shaping the party's formation and achievements.

Rebuilding our base entails reconnecting with our roots, understanding where our support originates, and strengthening the very foundation that has defined the NPP’s success,” I emphasized. I further underscored the party’s renewed dedication to inclusivity, declaring, “The forgotten men and women of NPP will be forgotten no more,'' he stated.

The "Rebuilding Our Base" tour is seen as a crucial step towards positioning the NPP for future electoral success. By reconnecting with its grassroots support and ideological foundation, the party aims to restore its vitality and strengthen its connection with its core supporters.
