Mahama Orders Recall of Diplomatic Passports Issued by Akufo-Addo's Government

Accra, Ghana - 15 Jan, 2025 - President John Dramani Mahama has ordered the recall of diplomatic and service passports issued by the previous administration.

In a statement issued on 14 Jan, 2025 and signed by the Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama, the move is part of the government's efforts to ensure that official travel documents are used and administered in line with national and international standards

''I write to the recall of Diplomatic and Service Passports issued by the previous administration.

''The exercise aligns with Government's commitment to ensuring the proper use and administration of official travel documents by national and international standards. The recall aims to prevent misuse, safeguard the country's reputation and maintain the integrity of our diplomatic engagements,'' portions of the statement read.
