Mahama Names Fresh Batch of Ambassadors ; Attah Kojo Choi to South Korea
Attah Kojo Choi , Ambassador-designate to the Republic of South Korea, was brought to Ghana at age 14 and has since lived and naturalized as a Ghanaian

 

Accra, Ghana – 25 July, 2025 – President John Dramani Mahama has nominated a fresh batch of ambassadors and high commissioners to represent Ghana in various countries worldwide.

The appointments, announced in an official statement signed by Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama, aim to strengthen Ghana's diplomatic presence and foster bilateral ties across strategic regions.

Meet the New Ambassadors

- Alhaji Abdul-Rahman Harruna Attah: Ambassador-designate to the Republic of Namibia

- Attah Kojo Choi: Ambassador-designate to the Republic of South Korea, who was brought to Ghana at age 14 and has since lived and naturalized as a Ghanaian

- Dr. Kwame Ampofo: Ambassador-designate to Hungary, bringing his expertise in energy to the role

- Mona Helen Kabuki Quartey: Ambassador-designate to the Italian Republic, leveraging her experience as a former Minister and respected economist

- Magnus Kofi Amoatey: Ambassador-designate to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, utilizing his skills as a former Deputy Speaker of Parliament

- Kenneth Akibate: Ambassador-designate to Burkina Faso

- Said Saleh Sinare: Ambassador-designate to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

- Paul Evans Aidoo: High Commissioner-designate to the Republic of Kenya, drawing on his experience as a veteran politician

The nominations will undergo further vetting and confirmation procedures in line with constitutional protocols. The Presidency has instructed relevant agencies to initiate the formal processes to facilitate the appointments, paving the way for these individuals to take up their new roles and represent Ghana's interests abroad.
