Agbodza, Ibrahim Mahama Donate to Ketu South Tidal Wave Victims

Ketu South, Volta Region, Ghana - 07 March, 2025 - Tidal wave-ravaged communities in Ghana's Ketu South region have received a major lifeline, thanks to a flurry of generous donations, including a GHS100,000 pledge from business magnate Ibrahim Mahama, announced during a visit by President John Dramani Mahama.
A delegation led by John Mahama visited the affected areas on Thursday, March 6, to assess the damage and distribute relief items.
In addition, the Roads and Highways Minister, Kwame Governs Agbodza, donated essential items, including rice, oil, and water, to support the affected residents.
The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has also supplied emergency relief items to help meet the basic needs of those affected.
Furthermore, the Volta Caucus MPs collectively donated GHS100,000, while a private lawyer contributed GHS10,000 to aid in the relief efforts. The donations are expected to bring much-needed relief to the affected communities.
