Mahama Appoints Edward Bawa as Acting CEO of GNPC
Accra, Ghana - 17 Jan, 2025 - Ghana's President John Dramani Mahama has named Edward Bawa as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), effective immediately.
This appointment aligns with the country's constitutional requirements and the GNPC Act of 1983.
As part of the standard procedure, the appointment is subject to consultation with the Public Services Commission and the approval of the Honourable Minister for Energy.
In a formal letter signed by Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama, the President congratulated Mr. Bawa, a former Member of Parliament for Bongo, and wished him success in his new role.
