Julian Cobbinah Appointed NYA Board Chair

Accra, Ghana - 07 May, 2025 - Julian Mawuse Cobbinah, a prominent youth leader, has been appointed Chairperson of the Governing Board of the National Youth Authority (NYA).

Mr. Cobbinah's appointment comes after his significant contribution to the National Democratic Congress' (NDC) Youth Manifesto as Chairman of the drafting committee.

With his background as President of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS), Mr. Cobbinah brings valuable experience in youth leadership to the NYA Governing Board. He expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for entrusting him with the role and thanked Minister George Opare Addo for his support in a social media post.

Mr. Cobbinah is optimistic about his new role, stating that he aims to make the NYA a transformative and impactful institution for Ghana's youth. He also added that he looks forward to working with the NYA's Chief Executive, Osman Ayariga, to drive social and economic development for the country's young population.
