It will take a lot of work to bring Ghana out of the economic crisis - Mahama

Accra, Ghana - Ghana's President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, has stated that the country's economic woes will require a concerted effort to overcome.

In a thanksgiving service at the Assemblies of God Church in Accra, , Mahama acknowledged the gravity of the economic crisis and pledged to work tirelessly to restore stability and growth.

“I can confirm that our country is still in a very severe economic crisis, and it is going to take a lot of work to bring it back. It is going to be a very tough task to restore our economic prosperity, but I pray that the God who gave me this responsibility will give me the strength and the wisdom to handle it,'' he stated.

Mahama, who won the presidential election with 56.55% of the votes, expressed his commitment to restoring Ghana's economic prosperity. He also emphasized the importance of seeking divine guidance and wisdom to navigate the challenges facing the nation.

“I pray that God gives me the sense of discernment and wisdom to choose the right people to work in the best interest of the people of Ghana,” Mahama stated.

“God’s favour is still on our dear country Ghana and I know he will not forsake us,” he added.
