IMF Team Concludes Ghana Visit, Credit Facility Scheduled for April 2025
Accra, Ghana - 15 Feb, 2025 - A team from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has concluded a visit to Ghana, where they held discussions with government officials and other stakeholders on the country's economic program.
The team, led by Stéphane Roudet, met with President John Dramani Mahama, Finance Minister Forson, and Bank of Ghana Acting Governor Asiama, among others.
The IMF team reviewed Ghana's progress in meeting key commitments under the IMF-supported program and discussed policies for the upcoming 2025 budget. The team expressed appreciation for the constructive engagement and support from the Ghanaian authorities and stakeholders during the visit.
The outcome of the IMF team's visit will inform the fourth review of the Extended Credit Facility arrangement, scheduled for April 2025. This review will assess Ghana's progress in implementing economic reforms and determine the future of the IMF-supported program.
