Accra, Ghana - 29 March, 2025 - Ghana's Parliament has approved the 2025 Appropriation Bill, which allocates a staggering GHC293 billion for the 2025 financial year, paving the way for significant government spending on public services and development projects.

The 2025 Appropriation Bill, passed after its third reading, authorizes the government to tap into the consolidated fund and other public funds to finance its activities.

The budget allocation includes a substantial GHC68 billion for wages and salaries, as well as GHC13 billion for settling outstanding arrears. This move is expected to provide a much-needed boost to the country's public sector, supporting the government's efforts to deliver essential services to its citizens.

First Deputy Speaker Bernard Ahiafor announced the bill's passage, marking a significant milestone in Ghana's budgetary process.
