Ghana will become a world-class tourist destination under NPP - NAPO
Larabanga, Ghana - Nov 9, 2024 - Ghanaians can expect a boost in the tourism industry if the New Patriotic Party (NPP) wins the upcoming elections, according to Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the party's Vice Presidential Candidate.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Larabanga, Dr. Prempeh assured the crowd that the next NPP government, led by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will prioritize investments in tourism.
The area, known for its natural beauty and historic landmarks like the ancient Larabanga Mosque and the Mole National Park, has tremendous potential for growth. Dr. Prempeh acknowledged this, stating that the government will develop these sites into world-class tourist attractions.
To attract more foreign visitors, the NPP plans to streamline the visa acquisition process by introducing an e-visa policy. This move aims to increase tourism's socioeconomic benefits for Ghana.
“I am aware that this area has a lot of tourist attractions…the famous Larabanga Mosque and the Mole National Park. I assure you that the government of Dr Bawumia will pump in the necessary resources to develop these sites and other equally important tourist sites in the country into world-class tourist attractions”.
