Election 2024: Christian Leaders in Ashanti Region Offer Prayers for NAPO
In a show of spiritual solidarity, Christian leaders from the Ashanti Region converged in Kumasi to offer fervent prayers for Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
This heartfelt gathering, held on November 29, 2024, brought together over 200 influential clergy members from all 47 constituencies in the region, united in their quest for divine guidance and blessings for Dr. Prempeh, the NPP, and its flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
As the December 7 elections draw near, the clergy sought to entrust Dr. Prempeh to God's care, praying for peace, stability, and favour to prevail in the country before, during, and after the elections. The meeting served as a powerful reminder of the vital role religious leaders play in promoting national unity and guiding the political process through spiritual leadership.
Dr. Prempeh, reassured the clergy of the NPP's commitment to fostering strong partnerships between the government and religious leaders.
He emphasized Dr. Bawumia's vision of inclusivity and collaboration in governance, which aligns with the clergy's prayers for a peaceful and stable election period. Apostle Sampson Adjei Berko of Glory & Hope Ministries International led the intercessory prayers, stressing the significance of divine intervention in ensuring the success of the election and the well-being of the nation.
