Ghana Police Warns of Recruitment Scam

Accra, Ghana - 24 June, 2025 - The Ghana Police Service has issued a warning to the public about fraudulent claims circulating on social media platforms regarding an ongoing recruitment exercise.

According to a press release dated June 23, 2025, the Police Administration has categorically denied any current recruitment drive, stating that such information is false.

The police emphasized that any future recruitment exercises will be officially announced through verified channels, including the Service's website, social media platforms, and national dailies. Assistant Commissioner of Police Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director of Public Affairs, signed the statement, advising the public to disregard the fraudulent claims and avoid engaging with individuals or groups demanding money in exchange for recruitment opportunities.

The Ghana Police Service has assured the public that it is actively investigating these fraudulent activities and will arrest and prosecute individuals found to be involved in such schemes. The Service has encouraged the public to report any individuals or groups engaged in fraudulent recruitment activities to the nearest Police Station.

This warning comes as a relief to many Ghanaians who have been misled by false promises of employment opportunities. The Ghana Police Service's proactive approach in addressing this issue demonstrates its commitment to protecting the public from such scams.
