Ghana Education Service Warns Public of Fake Recruitment Letter
Accra ,Ghana – September 21,2025 - The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a stern warning to the public regarding a fake recruitment letter circulating on social media. The letter falsely claims that financial clearance has been granted for the recruitment of 50,000 teaching and non-teaching staff.
Details of the fake letter show it was flagged by the GES as not originating from their offices. Management emphasized that no such recruitment exercise has been announced. The GES assured that any official communication regarding recruitment will be released exclusively through official channels, including the GES and Ministry of Education outlets.
The GES advisory to the public is to disregard the fake letter. Individuals are urged to report any fraudulent activities linked to the fake letter. The GES stresses that all GES recruitments are free, and no individuals or groups are authorized to charge for recruitment, processing, or issuing of appointment letters.
Background on planned recruitment shows the Minister of Education announced plans to recruit about 50,000 teachers and 10,000 non-teaching staff in Parliament. However, the GES clarifies that the official recruitment process has not yet commenced.
